The Columbus is one of the best known hotels in Monaco, and extra publicity has been generated over the years due to F1 driver David Coulthard taking a financial interest in the hotel. The Columbus is modern and chic, the staff are good – bright and attentive without being overbearing. Some good deals can be found for the Columbus compared to some Monaco hotels, especially via travel sites like expedia, and an upgrade is often just a few Euros. For location, the Columbus can’t be counted as one of the hotels in Monte Carlo. It’s in Fontvieille, and it’s a short cab ride or bus (the bus stop is just a hundred yards away) to Monte Carlo. There’s not much within walking distance really. And perhaps that is why breakfast costs 25 Euros a person at the
Columbus Hotel. Even for a coffee and a croissant. If you can’t
get a deal that includes breakfast don’t be surprised! |

As well as the traditional and well known hotels in Monaco, there are some which are good but less expensive.
And while not situated in central Monte Carlo, the Novotel is as close to Casino Square as the Hotel Columbus for example, and their service and standard of rooms is very good by most accounts.
The Novotel has over 200 rooms and 17 suites, facilities include a heated outdoor swimming pool.
Good size clean rooms.
The Novotel is located at 16 Bld Princesse Charlotte, 98000, Monaco
and the phone number is +377 9999 8300
But the Hotel de Paris is far more than just a hotel convenient for the Monte Carlo casino. Monte Carlo is a business centre, and the Hotel de Paris does a very good business lunch. Other than business lunches some of the world’s best chefs look after the culinary needs of her guests at breakfast, lunch and for the evenings. The restaurants at the Hotel de Paris Monte Carlo are not just the best among the hotels in Monaco, but the best in the world, with Michelin Stars galore. And what could beat a morning stroll around the wonderful Casino Square gardens before coffee at the Café de Paris in Casino Square? |
